Jerusalem International Book Fair At the Jerusalem International Book Fair, held February 20 - 25, 2011, theJewish Book Council's Jewish Book World exhibit and catalogue included Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust, edited by Sonja M. Hedgepeth and Rochelle G. Saidel (Brandeis University Press/University Press of New England). Dr. Saidel stopped by the exhibit and spoke with Carolyn Starman Hessel (left) director of the Jewish Book Council, and Carol Kaufman, editor of Jewish Book World.

2011 At the international conference, "Women and the Holocaust in Central Europe--New Perspectives and Challenges," held in Warsaw from November 17 to 19, 2011, Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust was featured at a special session and book signing. The conference took place in Warsaw, Poland, organized by the Gender Studies Program of the Institute of Literary Research, the Polish Academy of Science (Warsaw), in cooperation with the Kurt and Ursula Schubert Institute of Jewish Studies (Olomouc); the Institute of History, Slovak Academy of Sciences (Bratislava); and the Department of Gender Studies, Central European University (Budapest). At this special session, co-editors Dr. Sonja M. Hedgepeth and Dr. Rochelle G. Saidel talked about how the book developed and its relevance to the focus of the conference.
